GROU.PS Platform allows you to develop social applications that can reach 3m+ registered members, 12m+ monhtly unique visitors and 80k+ groups of the largest free do-it-yourself social network provider worldwide. GROU.PS gives developers 2 methods of developing cool apps;
  1. OpenSocial alpha : Leverage the same standard that Orkut, MySpace, hi5, netlog have also adopted. Primary benefit; it's a self-serve system, no need to wait for us to review your app in detail. GROU.PS has adopted OpenSocial 0.9. However, while we're in alpha, we only support the Canvas-mode and PersonService. So it's good for basic apps which require minimal social functionality.

  2. Native GROU.PS Modules : If you need a deeper integration and more social capabilities, then this second method is for you. This method lets you review our open source sample modules and create your own easily. Note that, using this method, you can develop apps only in PHP. GROU.PS has a very modular framework architecture so developing new modules (aka apps) is easy. We have a couple of examples here that you can study. Note that, module submission requires extensive review of your work, because your code is actually run on our servers. Therefore the process usually takes a few weeks.
